As a people-first business, we’re always looking to connect with our local communities here at Briggs of Burton.
Recently, the BRIGGS team had the privilege of attending this year’s 96th Forres Highland Games in Northern Scotland, which took place on Saturday 6th July.
An annual event held in July at Grant Park in Forres, Scotland, the Forres Highland Games is a community event that sees the support of local businesses from a wide range of sectors.
Joined by our local friends and project partners, BRIGGS team members Alistair McDermid, Process Engineer, and James Chadwick, Junior Sales Manager, thoroughly enjoyed spectating and representing BRIGGS and McMillan Coppersmiths at the community event that displayed such an array of Scottish culture.
Commencing with a procession from the Forres & District Pipe Band, the day then followed with a fantastic show of Scottish tradition, sport and culture. From highland dancing and tug ‘o’ war, to solo piping and bike racing, the games were the perfect event to enjoy alongside some quality beer and food.
As engineering and copper distillation suppliers of many Scottish distilleries across Speyside and beyond, and an employer in the local community, we’re always thankful to support, sponsor and attend events such as the Forres Highland Games, alongside McMillan Coppersmiths.
This year, BRIGGS proudly sponsored and featured a banner, whilst McMillan Coppersmiths sponsored one of the racing bikes in the Message Bike Race.
The entire day at Forres Highland Games made us incredibly proud to be part of the Northern Scotland community. Here’s to many more days like these!
